Self-care is extremely important to me. Even if itis for just a few minutes, I set aside this time for myself to recharge. Today’s me-time was dedicated to skin care. Generally, I try to use a face mask at least once a week, and which face mask I use depends on the specific needs of my skin. This time I opted for a magnetic mask for a thorough cleaning of the pores. Magnetic masks use micro-magnetic iron particles that create electromagnetic interactions to draw out toxins and dirt from the skin and to encourage the skin’s natural recovery process.
I’ve used magnetic masks before, but the e.l.f. Beauty Shield Magnetic Mask Kit is one of my favorites. The kit comes with the magnetic mask, magnetic tool, and magnet covers. The mask uses a magnetic charge to draw out impurities from within the pores and to brighten the skin. Specific ingredients such as carrot seed, sunflower seed and argan oils provide nourishment while moisturizing the skin. If you have more mature skin and are concerned withfine lines, wrinkles and loss of firmness and elasticity, then the Magnetight Age-Defier mask by Dr. Brandt is more suitable for you. Key ingredients such as firming peptides help to counteract the effects of aging and stress. The mask also makes the skin appear more radiant. This product however, is a bit on the pricier side. You can always opt for the lower priced trial size.
The last magnetic face mask I will review here is the Retinoid-Powered Magnetic Facial by Lancer Skincare. This mask, just as the Magnetight Age-Defier mask by Dr. Brandt, is an anti-aging mask which helps to improve skin texture, increase cell turnover and collagen production. The retinoid in the mask helps to renew the skin by reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles revealing softer and brighter skin.
